India leading fight against Covid-19, maturity showed by people during lockdown unprecedented, says PM Modi
India is leading fight against Coronavirus, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while speaking on the 40th foundation day of his party Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today.
Modi said the Union government started taking measures against Covid-19 very early, in consultation with the state governments, which was even commended by other countries and the World Health Organisation (WHO).
As of now, India registers about 100 deaths, with over 4,000 people getting infected with the Coronavirus.

As per him, the “maturity and seriousness” shown by the public during the lockdown to control the spread of coronavirus has been unprecedented.
The pandemic has posed a huge challenge across the world, he said, adding, “We have to be prepared for a long and sustained fight against the crisis.”

He appealed to party workers to be involved in ‘Abirat seva abhiyaan’ to provide ration to the poor and the needy as nation comes ahead of party. He asked the partymen to dedicate themselves to serve the country.
Modi asked people to download ‘Arogya Setu’, which was meant to provide all information on the Coronavirus disease.
He urged his partymen to follow a five-point agenda during this crisis, which includes working to ensure that no poor goes hungry.
